too bad they are all part of the bourgeois class of Brazil or what it seems to be of it.

What it would have been more interesting, or surprising, was to observe real people or “less pretentious” individuals from Brazil like simple citizens of the country.

  22. Love the stiletto heels in the 2 picture!wow!

  23. HOLY CRAP how does that girl walk in those heels!

too bad they are all part of the bourgeois class of Brazil or what it seems to be of it, except 2nd shot,Yaya,of course.

I can’t see the fascinating fact about #2. I feel uncomfortable just by looking at her.

I agree with what someone said: these are Brazilian daddy’s children, not representative of the people there. The same as for Mexico.

  56. Sergio says:

me encantan los blogs de moda a si que te seguire espiandoo

  57. Elisabeth says:

Wow, the shoes on the second one are serious!

  58. Ekaterina says:

For some reason #2 is the only one I don’t like… I mean her outfit looks really random in the bad sense of the word; black stripper heels, a poofy black and red dress and an ethnic red and gold purse just because the colours match doesn’t mean you should wear all that crap together. Plus, she’s jus sitting there because she obviously can’t walk…

Love all the others but they are as people said before part of an overpriviledged class that Ivan always seems to seek out in every country… How about shooting people who have real jobs that daddy’s money didn’t buy them.

  59. Anonymous says:

I had to laugh out loud at #2, sitting down. What ridiculous stripper shoes.

  60. Anonymous says:

I guess the blogg idea, is find interesting looks, no matter where.

for all the stupid people who wrote stupid comments.

this blog is ONLY about fashion

if you want to see things about politic and thing like that ,just go and turn on the tv.

  61. Danielle says:

picture one and five are fabulous.

  62. Anonymous says:

picture 2 looks so random.I mean nice H&M dress and stupid shoes.
sometimes I think you are blind ivan.Or you just take pictures of absolutly boring girls because you wnat them.

  63. #2 looks like Erin Fetherston’s evil twin.

  64. Justine says:

what really bothers me on polemic #2 is that the stairs has dirty paper, and so the stairs must be really dirty, and she seems to have her naked butt on it… I would classify the look as ‘inspirational’, not a finished look.

  65. Jessica says:

I don’t think you should say that Ivan only ever photographs people from the upper classes because this is clearly not always the case.

He points out that these shots were taken at Sao Paulo fashion week and therefore, yes many people attending the event are probably fairly wealthy. But do you not watch the show? In which Ivan interviews a wide mixture of people who have very different backgrounds? Your point is obviously not backed up by enough evidence since it is only really these shots, taken place in a fashion show, that people seem all to be from an ‘over-privileged’ class.

Bet you couldn’t make a blog that was anywhere near as popular as this.

  66. Vane_ says:

    guantes dorados!

  67. Chelle says:

    ooohh, cape in last picture….HOT!

  68. Samantha says:

    fantastic jackets!

  69. lulucoll says:

    me gusta mucho!
    pasate por Barcelona, please…

  70. Anonymous says:

I don’t see people with very different backgrounds in The Face Hunter show… where are they?
But I agree that this is just a fashion blog and people’s backgrounds are no matter here. However, it’s such a pity that he travels around the world just to shoot the same kind of people everywhere. He didn’t need to go to Sao Paulo to find these: they look just the same as the people in London.
But it’s just OK: it’s his blog and he can do whatever he wants with it.

  71. Mica says:

WOW! really unique shoes in the second photo! I wonder how she walks in those, looks like it would be difficult1

  72. heeey, i saw u here in sao paulo!

remembered by a picture of a girl with a little black dress that i saw u photographing, right in front of bienal.

well, i really like your work, the pictures, the people u choose..
i can tell that it gave me courage to star my blog, here. i take pictures of people in the subway (tube). it’s called “moda no metrô”, or “fashion in the tube”, literally (and badly) traducing :)

hope u could take a look at it, if u’d like.

  73. felipe kruper says:

brilliant idea to photograph Yaya,2, she´s beautiful, chic and pop!!

  74. Anonymous says:

Loads of eclecity of style in Brazil.

Adorable look of this controversial spfw pinup.
I would love to dare walking on her high heels.

  75. Megan says:

Not so sure about the stripper heels. Even on a cute girl with a cute dress, they still make me think of a G-string. But the third picture is amazing!

  76. chris says:

cute pin up on the 2nd photo!
    luv her stiletto heels!

  78. Anonymous says:

I think you lack the knowledge of the word “Opinion”.

Here’s the definition, so you can educate yourself:

    o·pin·ion /əˈpɪnyən/
1.a personal view, attitude, or appraisal.
2.a judgment or estimate of a person or thing with respect to character, merit, etc.

People here have the freedom to comment whatever they have on their minds, raison d’etre of the comments section.

    thank you.

#2’s heels sure grant her some attention…and I guess rightfully too if we’re talking about extreme attention seeking. I’m kinda interested to see if walking in them is technically possible though…

  92. karin says:

    #2, goldie doll!

  93. Love the Platform shoes in the second picture. Paula
